Save Money With iPhone Spare Parts

If you are a new or seasoned iPhone owner, you know that at some time or another you will come to the point where you will need to purchase replacement parts for your device. Of course the easiest option is to take your troubled iPhone to an Apple dealer or other professional technician, but this can often be a very costly venture. By following just a few simple tips and advice, you can buy iPhone 3G spares online and even do most of the repair work yourself. You will be surprised by how simple it can actually be, and you don't even have to be a techie or computer geek to do it right.

Today there are a wide variety of spare parts and replacement accessories available online from a variety of sources. Being cautious of where you buy your iPhone 3G spares is one key component of the repair process. Look for reputable, experienced companies that specialize in offering quality iPhone parts and components. In addition, many of these companies sell refurbished parts that have been salvaged from old or broken devices, in turn passing on to the consumer a great savings in terms of cost. When you purchase recycled or salvaged parts, you will be getting the best prices and the quality of the components is just as good as any brand-new part would be. The only difference is the price.

One of the most common problems that people experience with their iPhone is a broken or cracked screen. No matter how careful you are, it is hard to avoid the general wear and tear that normally causes this kind of problem. Finding a replacement screen is generally pretty easy; start with a search for iPhone 3G spares and you are likely to find a company that offers them as well as a number of other parts and components. You will be pleased to discover that you may be able to save as much as $100 by doing the repair work yourself. While you are searching for parts online, you can also find helpful articles and instructional videos that can help guide you along the way. In addition, many companies can ship iPhone 3G spares to your home at no additional cost, making the whole process that much more easy and convenient.

There are many other potential problems that you may face when it comes to your iPhone; for example, you may need to replace the housing, motherboard, or antenna cover. Most sites offer all these items for sale in one convenient site, making buying iPhone 3G spares online quick and easy. Fortunately you don't need to be an expert to do the repairs yourself; with plenty of helpful information available at just the click of your mouse, you will be well on your way to getting your iPhone back to it's old self again in no time. When you consider the cost of taking your iPhone to a repair specialist or buying a whole new device, it just makes sense to buy the replacement parts yourself and do the repairs in your own home.

Options For a Cracked iPhone Screen - 3g Or 3gs

You love your iPhone. It's full of great and easy to use features and it looks great. Then one day it slips out of your hand, hits the sidewalk, and your once beautiful iPhone has unsightly cracks across the glass face. What do you do now?

You could do nothing. In most cases the LCD (the picture) underneath the glass is fine and the touchscreen functionality still works, so you could use it that way until the next version of the iPhone comes out and you feel the need to upgrade.

If you're like most iPhone owners, this "do nothing" approach isn't much of an option. You have an iPhone because you have style and it doesn't look stylish anymore. So how do you get it fixed? There are a number of options.

First, you could buy a new iPhone. Just walk into an AT&T or Apple Store and walk out with a new iPhone. This is definitely the simplest and quickest option. It's also the most expensive. You may have purchased your iPhone for as little as $99 but you had to sign a 2-year contract to get that price. Now that you're under contract, they will charge you around $500 for a replacement phone.

Another option is to have Apple repair it for you. This option is less expensive than buying a new phone but still one of the more expensive ways to fix your phone. It also requires you to be near an Apple Store. The cost for choosing this option for your cracked screen is $199 plus sales tax.

By far the least expensive option is to go on eBay and buy a replacement glass screen for around $20 - $30 and install it on your phone yourself. A simple search on eBay for the terms "iPhone touch screen" will reveal a number of different companies selling the touchscreen glass (the 3G and 3GS glass are different, so make sure you get the one for you iPhone version). Then a quick trip to Youtube and a search for "how to fix an iPhone screen," will yield a video showing you how to do the repair.

Be warned: This repair is not trivial. It requires a heat gun to remove your phones current, broken glass, and if you're not careful, it's possible to completely destroy your phone. If you choose this option, make sure you're comfortable with small electronics repair and be very careful.

A much simpler and safer option for the do-it-yourself repair person is to buy a complete screen assembly - not just the touchscreen glass. There are two options with this route: Get the assembly with the LCD in it (about $100) or without the LCD (about $60). Using either of these options means you don't need to use a heat gun to replace your glass and you should be able to do the repair yourself in about 10-15 minutes. A video is worth 10,000 words so again, head over to YouTube and do a search for "iPhone screen assembly repair" and you'll find several videos using this method.

The final option is one of the safest and is still very cost effective: Have a 3rd party do the iPhone repair for you. If you live in a decent sized city, do a Craigslist search and you'll find someone within driving distance that will do it for less than $100. They should be able to do it for you in about 15 minutes while you wait.

If you don't live in a big city, there are a few companies that offer mail in repairs. Again, this will usually cost you under $100 but you will have to be without your phone for about a week (a couple of days each way for shipping and another day for the repair). A simple Google search for "Mail in iPhone repair" will reveal a slew of companies offering the repair.

So don't throw away your iPhone just because you dropped it and broke the screen. Save yourself several hundred dollars and get it repaired. If you're the handy electronics type, the do-it-yourself options are your best route. Not so efficient with a screwdriver and small ribbon cables? Then find a local shop to help you out or mail it in for repair.

Fake it - Spotting a Counterfeit iPhone

The iPhone is one of the most popular phones in the world. Global demand for the phone has been overwhelming ever since it was released, and would-be buyers are undeterred by the gadget's price. Initially, users were required to have a specific telephone number and carrier before all of the iPhone features could be unlocked and used. Software hacks were (illegally) developed to "unlock" the phone so that users could use it with a carrier network of their own choosing.

As it was easier to imitate the iPhone instead of offering said hacks, the international market was soon awash with fake phones. The popularity of fake iPhones was especially noticeable in countries where it was not slated for release in the near future. While the earliest fakes were clumsy imitations at best, counterfeiters have progressed to the point where it can be hard to differentiate a fake phone from a real one without a careful comparison of existing iPhone features.

Physically, the fake phones are very similar to the originals at first glance. The touch screen, volume switches and dock connectors are all in the same places. Even the box in which the fake phone comes looks remarkably like the original. The eagle-eyed consumer may spot one or two spelling and grammatical errors that would never have appeared on an original product. However, this may be hard to do as fakes are usually sold online, away from such close scrutiny.

In some of the more obvious fakes, the phones are thicker, longer and bulkier. They also possess buttons or keyboards that aren't found on original phones. They also tend to lack some of the more distinctive iPhone features -fingerprint-resistant casing, a lens that is made of plastic instead of glass, as well as a casing made of plastic instead of metal. Some even come with a stylus!

The difference is most evident when the phone is switched on. This may prove to be a challenge for those who've bought a fake, as there are no instructions on how to remove the battery case and insert the battery (a real iPhone doesn't have a removable battery). While the fake display looks exactly like the original, the accompanying software is extremely slow and responds poorly. Lastly, fake iPhones tend to be much cheaper than authentic ones. If the price is too good to be true, it very likely is!

At the end, I'd like to share cool website with more information on topics like get free iPhone and win free iPhone. Visit for more details.

iPhone Apps Can Make You a Living

Smartphones of all descriptions have really been one of the defining features of a generation: with the iPhone having been the main focus of the smartphone BUZZ for the last couple of years. iPhones have become the standard benchmark for smartphone technology amongst the gadget freaks of the world. This is likely to continue for a period, but without further innovation from Apple and the army of iphone apps developers, the time is approaching when, Android for one, will be banging on the walls of the App store's castle!

However this competition actually presents opportunities for the keen, dedicated programmer who can keep his head in two camps at once. It is clear confirmation that mobile computing applications are going to continue to grow for the foreseeable future. In fact, I can't say it strongly enough - NOW is the time to get involved, if you have the slightest notion of programming applications: for the iphone in particular. The iphone already has two well rooted development and distribution universes running in close parallel, so it is a no-brainer to make sure you cut your teeth in the Apple iphone apps arena, to nurture your project development, programming and marketing skills in order to earn money from those iPhone apps.

Why will the iPhone apps be such a powerful breeding ground for your development career? It seems that there is, more than ever before, something to get everyone using an iPhone. Whether you are a youngster, into your music and videos, who happens to need a mobile phone to stay in touch with parents; or a high power business builder with a penchant for gadgets to organize life and leisure, then you will certainly have at least 20 daily tasks, suitable for rationalizing into apps for the iphone. Even the simplest of home birds seeking entertainment for herself can find a game or media application for this platform that will keep them out of the clutches of boredom. Who or whatever you are, the iPhone is so versatile, thanks to the creativity of the iphone apps development community that it can fit in with almost anybody's lifestyle. Hell, it's even been at the top of my 'Must Have for Christmas' list!

It's no accident that the iPhone has gained this kind of acceptance and popularity. The sheer variety of applications that have been evolved will fit in with almost anyone's lifestyle. Applications have been developed by corporates and freelancers in pretty equal measure, making it possible for some to earn significant money because of the developer's ability to sniff out a gadget's demand. If you are adept at programming, don't be put off the idea of making money with iPhone applications.

The obvious way of making money with iPhone applications is by developing the application yourself. Apple has made it abundantly clear that they are happy (no; desperate!) to buy the rights to distribute a very promising application. If the app you develop provides users with a new way to carry on existing habits with ease and at least the appearance of 'cool', the odds are good that your app will be accepted into the iphone temple by the Apple Apps Store.

It is still possible to achieve the dream of making money with iPhone applications, even if you don't want to sell the rights to your app. This is feasible by charging people who download your app over the internet and who are prepared to compromise the Apple standard security features via the 'jailbreak' community. The profit potential is yours for the taking even if you have to learn more new jargon!

Sign up for an amazing new report that explains exactly why NOW is the time to jump into iphone apps development.

Blackberry Or an iPhone? - A Narrative of a Crackberry Addict

Ever since Apple unveiled the iPhone 3 years ago, the mobile device industry has been taken by a storm. The iPhone had enhanced features that outclassed all existing devices in the market. One of the leading mobile device makers at that time, Research in Motion (RIM) boasted an extremely loyal customer base for it's Blackberry phone. So loyal were these users, that it used to be said that once a person starts using a blackberry, he/she just could not go back to using a normal phone.

Soon after the launch of the iPhone, a new breed of mobile phone enthusiasts emerged that were almost as loyal as the Blackberry fans. However, there was a huge difference between these two types of people. The Blackberry users were corporate users (often labeled as 'Suits') while the iPhone fans were more hip and part of the cool crowd that wanted to be different than everybody else.

Fast forward that a few years to today and you will see that the divide continues. iPhone has amassed millions of new users, but not at the expense of the Blackberry. RIM has tried to come up with more user friendly devices that focused on the user interface as well as business related functions. However, even today, it is commonly accepted that Blackberry users stay as loyal to RIM as before.

I started using a blackberry 4 years ago. Initially it was just a fad, a status symbol of some sort that I wanted to be associated with. But within weeks of getting one, I realized how connected my life had become with the Blackberry. The hours (if any) I spent without my blackberry seemed somewhat incomplete because I felt some part of me was missing. Signs of withdrawn, a normal 'crackberry addict' goes through when his Blackberry is removed from him.

Last week, a very close friend of mine started using the Blackberry Bold phone. And now when I see him, he is always tethered to his phone. His eyes squinting at the tiny screen, trying to read the latest email notification or a Facebook poke. It reminds me of how I got hooked in the similar manner a couple of years ago. It is just amazing how people get attached to their phones, the same way over and over again.

Now I am sure iPhone fans have similar stories, but I doubt you can convince one or the other. It's just like trying to convince an atheist that there is god. Personally, the only thing I feel lacking in the Blackberry is it's really tiny app store. My mouth waters at all the new shiny apps I see in the iPhone App Store. Which I hope get ported to the Blackberry soon. But until then, I guess we 'crackberry addicts' will have to do with the measly blackberry app world that we have.

Hard Beginning - The Way of the Apple iPhone in China

Just as the sudden cold wave in Beijing China, the way of Apple iPhone in China is covered by the thick snow. Although Apple chooses to cooperate with the No.2 mobile carrier of China, China Unicom, it has to face the fact that iPhone hurdles in China.

A lot of stores still had iPhones in stock until now, and this pretty mobile phone has only been sold in several provincial capital cities. I believe that at least half of the Chinese mobile phone users have not heard of the coming of iPhone. Maybe they will not purchase it at all.

Why?

Although China Unicom is the No.2 mobile carrier of China, the number of its customers is only one-sixth of the number of the customers of China Mobile. Using the China Mobile SIM card has become a habit but not just a choice in the Chinese life environment. You can save much money if you and your contact persons all choose to use service of China Mobile, because you can send hundreds of free short massages to your girlfriend, make a cheap telephone call to your mother, enjoy the free call time in a virtual net or school net, only if you all own a China Mobile SIM card in your mobile phone.

So China Unicom wanted to capture users from the China Mobile by Apple iPhone, however, it is too late! More and more unauthorized iPhone from grey-market had been accepted by users because of the cheap price, even if the target customers whom can accept the price or like the iPhone very much want to buy it, they have purchased from all kinds of channels instead of this cooperation of Apple and China Unicom. Besides, many kinds of competitors of iPhone have been sold, such as Droid, Nokia 5800 and so on. They are much cheaper.

We still have hundreds of reasons to choose to use iPhone, such as the rapid CPU, the gravity induction system, the wonderful App Store, the cut Wi-Fi and so on, but iPhone has still a long and dark way to stagger in China.

With the holiday season right around the corner and the fact that we are in one of the worst economic recessions in a long time it only makes sense to find ways to save money everywhere you can. And if you are one of 30 million iPhone owners then you already know there are some great apps that can help save you a few bucks along the way. Here are three:

Should I Buy an iPhone?

There is no debating the fact that the Apple iPhone is wildly popular and that it has legions of devoted fans. The iPhone has taken the "phone" to an entirely new level with everything it does. Whatever you can think of: "There's an App for that". But if you are considering an iPhone, I will explain to you why I would never buy one.

The Problem with Flat Phones

The biggest issue with the iPhone is really an issue with all "flat phones". Other such phones include the Blackberry models, LG Dare, Palm Treo and many more. Most phones classified as "smart phones" are flat phones. So what's wrong with flat phones?

Basically phones are made for talking aren't they? Smart phones have taken phone functionality to a much higher level by loading on features like full keyboards for text messaging, web access, and GPS navigation systems. But underneath all that, the basic use of a phone is for talking and flat phones are simply more difficult to talk on.

Since these phones are indeed 'flat', they don't curve to the contour of your head. When you hold a this kind of phone to your ear, the microphone is out wide from your mouth and makes for spotty conversations. You can compensate by holding the microphone closer to your mouth, but then the ear speaker moves further from your ear. That's why I just say: save your money and get a flip phone!

Flip Phones to the Rescue!

Flip phones are phones that "flip" or open in the middle, creating a curvature that solves the problem of a flat phone. It naturally curves so that the ear speaker is close in to your ear and the microphone is closer to your mouth. As a result, conversations tend to be cleaner and less spotty with a good flip phone.

Flip phones have other advantages too. When they are folded, the screen and the keys are protected. There is no protection for the screen and the keys with a flat phone unless you buy an optional 'skin' to protect it. Even then if it's a flat phone with a touch screen, the skin cannot cover the screen to be effective so the touch screen will need to be exposed. When you put a flat phone in a purse or pocket, the screen and keys can rub against other things and get scratched up.

Another advantage to flip phones is no "accidental dialing". Most horizontal phones have some sort of key lock mechanism but even then, the key lock can be accidentally deactivated in a pocket or purse. When I had a flat phone I remember "calling people" quite unintentionally because the flat phone rubbed around in my pocket and landed on someone's number! This rarely happens with a flip phone because in their folded position, the keys are inaccessible.

Lastly but for many people perhaps the most important advantage is price. Flip phones are generally far less expensive than smart phones. Sometimes you can get flip phones free or 'near free' with a 2 year plan. In this economy, every dollar saved is important and who needs to pour money into a phone that will probably be replaced in 18 to 24 months?

So before you buy an iPhone or any other smart phone, ask yourself what the most important feature will be. Some people will say the most important feature is texting or the camera. Those people might be better off with a flat phone such as the iPhone. But if you're like most people, the most important feature will be talking and the ability to carry on quality voice conversations. If that's the case, skip the iPhone. Your best choice is a flip phone.

Email on the iPhone - Made Very Simple

I can honestly say that I do not know one person now that does not have an email address that they will tend to check at the very least periodically. Most people I know check for their emails daily and often many more times throughout the day. I must say that having a couple of email addresses myself that I needed a way to be able to check all of them without the pain of having to sign in and out of different ones and not being able to have two say yahoo or gmail addresses opened at the same time in the same browser. This for me is just reason that the iPhone has become a godsend.

Needing to check multiple email addresses used to be quite time consuming and there were always the ones that got neglected because you would just forget that you have given out that address to people. The iPhone is not just for people with multiple addresses however because it is about the ease of use that so many of the phones applications have making it almost the most pain free way to check your email at any time. It will work off the wireless network within your home or off the built in internet receiver when you do not have this option available meaning that you really can keep up with your emails anytime and anywhere. The beauty for me is that it is so simple to load up and switch between email accounts with no signing in each time to the different ones. It just makes it so simple.

Even if you are on a phone call and the person asks you if you have received their email or perhaps you need to get some information for them that you have sitting in your inbox. You do not even need to get off the call to find it, you can simply press a few buttons on the screen and be looking at your email while talking to someone at the same time. It really is that easy.

Setting New Corporate Standards With iPhone Email

iPhone was initially released in the market as a general consumer device but the majority of those who have purchased the unit were surprisingly business people belonging to the corporate world. The amazing factors that made it so appealing to many is its being easy to use, its impressive interface, and advanced integration with its industry partners in the business circle.

However, the biggest setback it faces as one of the major complaints of its users is their inaccessibility to their business emails. Since, these mails are traditionally known to be running on dissimilar systems, along with the fact that majority of corporate mails are protected by a firewall, the corporate email becomes impossible for the iPhone to reach and access.

One solution to this iPhone email problem is to have your received mails of your corporate mail to be forwarded to your personal email. Nevertheless, there could still be some problems that may arise. If you happen to face the need of replying to any of these business mails, your address would reflect that of your personal email. The best thing you can do is just add your corporate email address in your recipients' list. Another better answer to this problem is to get your company's IT experts and administrators to add up iPhone email to their supported list of smartphones. You can suggest to search the online market for corporate email servers that can effectively integrate iPhone email to your company's system.

The concept of iPhone email is very necessary in being able to archive and monitor all business correspondences especially in this age of gadgets, email and Internet. The company you are in can also consider purchasing licensed software vendors such as IBM, Apple, and Sybase to make the process of iPhone integration into your system easier for the IT staff.

The use of iPhone in the corporate setting can be a great help especially with its appeal to the employees of being user friendly and trendy. It won't be so much of another burden to carry since its physical features are very handy and if be given enough time, resource, and effort, any company would realize that it is not really that difficult to incorporate the convenient attributes of iPhone into the present email and administrative system. This possibility has been already achieved by BlackBerry in the past. Who would say this is not so possible for iPhone?

Mail2Web.com has affordable mobile email packages for businesses and individuals, including packages that include iPhone email! They are one of the internet's premier wireless email companies. Find the right mobile email package and set of features that fit your needs today!

How to Access iPhone Augmented Reality Monocle in Yelp

Augmented Reality is technology where real world elements are merged with or augmented by virtual computer generated imagery creating a mixed reality. Augmented Reality enabled apps are developed by many companies and Apple has promised that the upcoming OS 3.1 will provide full support to AR apps.

Thankfully, iPhone app developers have apparently found a way to sneak AR features into the AppStore via app updates - without Apple's official blessing. The first AR iPhone app to find its way is Yelp. Review site Yelp apparently beat all other augmented reality App contenders in getting an AR enabled app onto the Apple iTunes Store.

The Yelp iPhone App uses GPS, Compass and the Camera to display labels for restaurants, bars and other nearby businesses with Yelp reviews. The Yelp iPhone app has been there on iPhone AppStore for a while, but a new update has enabled an augmented reality feature called "Monocle."

After updating the Yelp, to access the AR all you have to do is shake your phone three times to trigger the Monocle button, which suddenly appears on the top of the screen. The Monocle once enabled brings restaurant and bar overlaid with reviews and information like in any Cyborg movies. The Monocle provide overlaid information with the help of iPhone 3GS built in compass and GPS.

It's actually a bit tricky getting the Monocle feature enabled. Shake the iPhone as if you're throwing a skipping stone across a pond. Do that three times in a row and you'll see a pop-up notifying you that Monocle is enabled. You should then see the "Monocle" button in the upper right corner.

Trace Cell Phone Number - Use the Same Directories Used by Police and Private Investigators

Unless you are living under a rock you have probably seen on the news the seemingly daily scandals involving politicians, movie stars, or sport stars who are getting busted for cheating on their spouse. Infidelity has seemingly become an accepted practice. If cheating is so prevalent in people of high profile, it makes you wonder if any relationship is safe today from cheating.

While cheating has become common place we still must not jump to conclusions without having evidence to back it up. Often, the first thing that raises red flags are suspicious cell phone calls or emails. Thankfully, along with the technology of cellular phones has also come the technology to trace cell phone number databases from your own computer.

Just a few years ago it would have taken a private investigator to find this same information. The cost would have been in the hundreds and it would take many days to get your answer. New online programs have given access to this information to the public that was once only available to police or FBI.

Cell phone numbers are considered private. This is to protect users from telemarketers. The new reverse lookup phone number services have acquired the directories of cellular providers and in turn, have made the information available online.

When looking for a reverse lookup directory to trace cell phone number information it is important to know what to look for. There are a lot of companies who advertise a free search. Ultimately, there isn't any free search that will give you the name and address from a cell phone number. The free services do not have access to this information. The legitimate reverse databases have to pay the cellular companies a lot of money for their records. Because of this, there will be a small charge by the reputable companies to access their directories.

The small cost is well worth it for the peace of mind the answers will provide. Knowledge is power, and will provide the information you need to take the next step. For a minimal fee you will be able to access the record of one phone number. For slightly more you will have unlimited searches for the next 12 months. It is nice to know that you will no longer have to guess about mystery phone numbers and can quickly and easily trace cell phone number information from home.

This is my #1 recommended company to Trace Cell Phone Number Listings. It offers outstanding quality and utility and is from the same database used by police and FBI. Click Here to get started.
